Terms & Conditions

We've kept these as clear and jargon-free as possible. If something doesn't make sense, just call us.

Our Service

Press & Hanger provides a professional garment ironing and washing service with pick-up and delivery to your door. We iron and wash your clothes — we do not dry-clean or alter garments in any way.

Washing is available as a separate service, priced per bag or basket up to 8 kg. All washing is machine-dried only — we do not offer air-drying, dry-cleaning, or any other drying method.

Our service is available to residential and business customers in the Northern Beaches, Mosman and some North Shore areas of Sydney. If you're unsure whether we cover your suburb, give us a call on 0414 005 937 and we'll be happy to let you know.

Bookings

Bookings can be made online via our booking form or by calling us directly. Once we receive your request, we'll confirm the pick-up details with you.

Please ensure you've selected your preferred pick-up option (contactless or knock) and delivery preference when booking. This helps us plan your collection and return smoothly.

We reserve the right to decline or reschedule bookings if demand is high or if the requested date falls outside our service schedule.

Pick-up & Delivery

We typically collect ironing bags between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM on your chosen pick-up date. Ironed items are returned the following morning, also between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

If you've selected contactless pick-up, please have your bag/basket placed outside the door before 6:00 AM. If you've asked us to knock, please make sure someone is available to hand over the items at collection time.

We'll do our best to honour the agreed schedule, but timing may occasionally vary due to circumstances beyond our control (traffic, weather, etc.). We appreciate your flexibility.

Completed orders will be returned on hangers or neatly folded and packaged, ready to go straight into your wardrobe.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

A minimum order value of $50 applies. Orders below this threshold will be charged at $50 plus any applicable fees.

A pick-up and delivery fee of $15 applies per order. A consumables charge (based on order subtotal) also applies — see our Pricing page for the full schedule.

Extra charges may apply for garments made from linen, silk, puffed, frilled, lace, extra-large or heavy material. We'll let you know if any items in your order attract an additional charge.

Upon delivery, a tax invoice and payment options will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking. Payment is due within 7 days upon receipt of invoice. We accept all major cards, BPAY, cash and bank transfers. Want to pay crypto? Get in touch and we'll arrange that. We prefer Kaspa.

Garment Care & Liability

We treat every garment with care and attention. Our team irons all items according to standard care label instructions.

We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing wear, fabric defects, or items that cannot withstand normal ironing temperatures as indicated by their care label. Please check care labels before submitting garments.

If you have garments that require special handling or are made from delicate materials (silk, lace, embellished fabrics, etc.), please note this in the 'Anything you'd like us to know' field when booking.

In the unlikely event of damage caused directly by our team, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We will assess the matter fairly and do our best to reach a reasonable resolution.

Cancellations & Changes

Need to change or cancel your booking? Please let us know as soon as possible by calling 0414 005 937.

Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the scheduled pick-up time may incur a cancellation fee to cover costs already committed.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking if we are unable to fulfil the service due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will notify you promptly and arrange an alternative time.

Fair Use

We ask that all customers treat our team courteously and respectfully. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who acts in an abusive or unreasonable manner.

These terms apply to all bookings made via our website, phone, or any other channel.

Privacy

We collect personal information (name, address, email, phone number) solely for the purpose of providing our service and sending you a tax invoice. We do not sell or share your details with third parties.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
